Item: Bakelite Bangle Bracelet in and end of day Marbled Bakelite
Materials: Bakelite which was the earliest plastic.
Size: The bangle is .5" Deep and 2.75" in diameter
History: Bakelite bangles like this one were made from the 1920s to 1950s. This particular bracelet is "end of the day" bakelite, meaning, before the day was done, small pieces of bakelite left over from the day's production were gathered and melted together, creating very new and individual color combo. This bangle is a beautiful grass green with specks of very dark green (almost black) and threads of bright yellow. It is just stunning and would be great worn alone or combined with a other bangles. You can wear it any season with these colors.
