Jelly Bell Frog Pin/Brooch - Baltic Amber Belly and Eyes Set in Silver - Vintage

The amber and silver of this Jelly Belly pin make it a suitable match for many different outfits. The pin is in great condition with no chips or cracks. 

This is a silver frog with golden Baltic amber as the body and eyes. Amber has been used since the Stone Age. It’s name comes from Arabic (anbar). The Arabic word came from Middle Latin (am bar) and French (ambre). Jelly Belly pins became the thing in the late 1930s when Trifari began making them.  They grew in popularity through the 1940s and into the 1950s.
