History:  Bamboo has a long history as a jewelry material, and with this choker being as beautiful as it is, is there any wonder why?

Bamboo has a long history as a jewelry material, and with this choker being as beautiful as it is, is there any wonder why? Tubes of bamboo with burnt ends are connected to each other using metal hooks along the length of the necklace. Each time a new connection is started, another tube is added. Towards the clasp, there is only one bamboo bead on each side, then two, then tree, until it reaches its max of six, before leading into a teardrop pendant of ocean jasper. The jasper pendant has a width of 0.5in.  The item is in great condition with a  hook clasp and extender chain. (see photos).
