History: This Alice Caviness Creation was created in the late 1950s or early 1960s by the Alice Caviness Creation's Company of New York which was founded in 1940. 

This Alice Caviness earring and necklace set with the look of the Roaring Twenties, is in fabulous condition. The set appears to have never been worn.  The set was found in Michigan, in the estate of a "transplanted" New Yorker. This Alice Caviness Creation was created in the late 1950s or early 1960s by the Alice Caviness Creation's Company of New York which was founded in 1940..  Alice, a Long Island gal, was a  designer and business woman who took participated in all aspects of her company.  Eventually, she married Jules Junquerra, and together they ran the company until retiring in 1970.  Many Caviness pieces were commissioned to be made in Germany,  incorporating silver or gold on silver. The set in this listing is unmarked and may have had a bracelet when purchased. The earrings are attached to their original Alice Caviness Card from Fifth Avenue, New York. In some cases, only one piece of a set had the maker's mark, leaving fantastic pieces like these, without a mark.. Thankfully, the earrings and necklace were found fastened with straight pins to the earring's original backer card from the Caviness Company. Without the earring backer card we may not have kept this set intact. The "Caviness style was varied, and kept up with the changes in the post World War II society. 

Our photos do not capture the beauty of the set. Each roundel has 6 individual clear Austrian crystals, then, two smaller center roundels with 7 sapphire blue Austrian Crystals and another large roundel again with 6  clear Austrian Crystals. There are 4  stacked roundels separated by 10 small  intricately carved sterling silver roundels. The carved silver creates a glint similar to the sparkle of the small crystals. The dangle earrings repeat the crystal roundel and Sterling roundel found on the necklace.
