This is a 14 karat gold pocket watch made by Elgin in Elgin, Illinois. This watch has beautiful inscribed designs around the front and back of the watch. There is also "EB" inscribed into the front. The front of the watch unlatches to reveal the clock face. The back also unlatches and it opens to the inside of the clock. The serial number found on the inside of the clock is 6634686. Based on the serial number this particular pocket watch was likely made in 1897. The clock has a diameter of 1.5" and it is just over 0.25 in height. The chain and handle together are just over 8" long. The chain has a charm at the end that has an "E" inscribed into it.
This pocket watch is in good vintage condition. The clock itself is not working and needs to be wound or potentially repaired further. This is a gorgeous and unique piece.
